On May 29, 2016 the manifestation “Day of Slavic Writing and Culture” was held in the church of Holy Mother Assumption in the municipality of the Orthodox Serbian Church in Zurich. The ceremony was held for the first time in collaboration with the Serbian, Russian and Bulgarian Orthodox Churches in Zurich.
     At the beginning of the event, the Ambassador S. Jankovic greeted the participants pointing out the mutual origin of the writing and languages of the Slavic nations, as well as the importance of the event for the preservation of our traditions, culture and identity.
    At the ceremony participated the representatives of the Embassies of Russia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Belarus as well.
    In the cultural artistic program after the official ceremony the artists from Serbia, as well as Russian and Bulgarian artistic association from Switzerland took part.
