On Saturday and Sunday, 28.05. and 29.05.2022, the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Belp celebrated its church Slava. Saints Cyril and Methodius, which are usually celebrated on 24.05. according to the Gregorian calendar, were celebrated over the weekend so that as many believers as possible could attend the ceremony. His Eminence Mr. Andrej, Bishop of Austria-Switzerland, attended the festive evening service and the performance of the Rules of Saints Cyril and Methodius on Saturday, and led the Holy Liturgy on Sunday. Priests from almost all parts of Switzerland - Bern, Zurich, Yverdon, took part in the holy services, led by the host, the parish priest of the Church Municipality in Bern, Mr. Stanko Markovic, accompanied by the church choir under the baton of conductor Nemanja Trickovic. The evening service on Saturday, as well as the liturgy on Sunday, was attended by the Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Bern, Mr. Predrag Mandic. His Excellency, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Swiss Confederation, Dr. Boro Bronza, also honored the event with his presence. After the liturgy, it was performed a procession around the temple, blessings of the Slava symbols and organized a rich serving for the guests and over a hundred gathered believers from several Swiss cantons and abroad.
