The British daily “The Guardian” ranked the „Atomic Spa“ in Gornja Trepča (Serbia) among the top ten spa destinations in Eastern Europe, which offers ideal price / quality ratio.
The Atomic Spa is 2,000 years old and has sulfur and sodium water, with traces of uranium and radon.
“The Guardian” points out that hydrotherapy is the main asset of this spa, but suggests that future visitors should try massage, lymphatic drainage and electrotherapy, which have a powerful healing effect.
The newspaper adds that Serbia has a lot of spas dating from the Roman or Ottoman period, and they are among the best price / quality ratio in Europe.
