International children's Handball camp "Nikola Portner and friends" was opened in Gumligen (next to Bern) this week. It’s a sports event of international character, named after the captain of the Swiss handball team, Nikola Portner, whose father was the famous Serbian handball player Zlatko Portner. The organizer of this camp is the non-profit sports organization "Sport NoLimit" from Lausanne, together with the Handball Academy of Switzerland.
The camp takes place from July 18th, till July 23rd, in the city sports hall. Fourth year in a row, it gathers an increasing number of children, as well as professional coaches. The camp is intended for children between the ages of 13 and 18, of whom there were more than 50 this year. The creator and manager of the camp is David Miloradović, president of the "Sport NoLimit" organization and also a successful handball coach in Switzerland, while the guest coaches are Akim Komnenić (Serbia), Slobodan Aćimov (Serbia), Nikola Marinović (Serbia), Marko Markiš (Croatia), Joel Da Silva (France), Ulf Anderson (Sweden) and Klaus Feldman (Germany).
The coaches and children were greeted at the opening by the Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Bern, Predrag Mandić, wishing them success and thanking the handball experts for responding to the organizers' call to pass on their valuable knowledge to new generations.
