Jurisdiction
Represents the Republic of Serbia in the Swiss Confederation, the country it covers on a non-residential basis (Principality of Liechtenstein) and in international organizations for which it is in charge (Intergovernmental Organization for International Carriage by Rail, World Postal Union and World Economic Forum);
Protects the interests of the Republic of Serbia, its citizens and legal entities;
Participates in negotiations with the government of the Swiss Confederation, the government of the state it covers on a non-residential basis and representatives of international organizations for which it is in charge;
Promotes and develops relations and cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Swiss Confederation, covers the state on a non-residential basis and international organizations for which it is in charge;
Reports on the internal events and foreign policy of the Swiss Confederation, the country it covers on a non-residential basis and the activities of international organizations for which it is in charge;
Develops cooperation with emigrants of Serbian origin in the territory of the Swiss Confederation and the state it covers on a non-residential basis in order to preserve their national and cultural identity;
Also performs other tasks in accordance with international law, legal regulations of the Republic of Serbia and directives of the Ministry.
The Embassy performs consular affairs in the Swiss Confederation (except for consular affairs that fall under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Zurich, which includes the Principality of Liechtenstein).
