Ambassador Trifunović at “CEE Day 2025” in Zurich | Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Swiss Confederation

Organized by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce for Central Europe (SEC), CEE Day 2025 was held in Zurich on 16 September 2025. The event was dedicated to strengthening economic, political, and diplomatic ties between Switzerland and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Swiss Confederation, Ivan Trifunović, attended this important gathering, where he was especially welcomed by the organizers.

The conference, held under the theme “Quo Vadis CEE 2.0 – CEE at the Crossroads”, brought together around 70 high-level representatives from business, politics, and the diplomatic corps. Participants discussed current geopolitical and economic trends in the region, as well as their implications for the Swiss economy.

Special emphasis was placed on challenges such as geopolitical instability, energy dependency, and shortages of skilled labor, as well as on new opportunities for cooperation in areas such as nearshoring, digitalization, and sustainable investments.

As part of the program, bilateral “speed meetings” were organized between representatives of the CEE countries and Swiss companies, aimed at exploring concrete opportunities for cooperation.

In addition to Ambassador Trifunović, the event was attended by Consul for Economic Affairs Ana Kontić, the representative of the Serbia–Switzerland Chamber of Commerce Ana Grujović, the director of "SME HUB" from Serbia Aleksandar Goračinov, as well as Mr. Edin Dacić, founder and director of "Daccomet AG" based in Zurich, who was also one of the panel speakers.
