Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag

This holiday was established to remind us of the importance of unity, freedom, and the preservation of our national identity, as well as the values that the Serbian people have cherished for centuries. The national flag, as one of the most significant symbols of statehood, unity, and our common future, obliges us to honor the legacy of our ancestors and to pass it on to future generations.

On this occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bern calls upon all our citizens and members of the diaspora to contribute—both individually and collectively—to the preservation of cultural and national identity, and to the strengthening of ties with the homeland. Together, we can continue to build a strong and connected community, wherever we may live.
