Intensive Meetings with the Diaspora in Switzerland: Strengthening Cooperation and Ties with the Homeland | Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Swiss Confederation

During the past weekend, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Switzerland, Ivan Trifunović, and First Counselor Dimitar Stanišić paid a working visit to the cities of Zurich, Renens, Lausanne, and Geneva, where, through a series of significant meetings, they engaged in intensive communication with representatives of our diaspora and institutions.

On that occasion, the following activities were carried out:

• working dinner with prominent Serbian businesspeople from the diaspora in Zurich
• meeting with members of the Serbian Business Club “Archibald Reiss” in Renens
• visit to the Parish of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Lausanne, attendance at the service, and discussion with representatives of the church board
• meeting with representatives of Serbian associations in Lausanne
• visit to the Parish of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Geneva, attendance at the service, and meeting with members of the church board
• participation in the celebration of the Slava of the “Kolo srpskih sestara” association in Geneva, where a magnificent fresco was ceremonially presented to the Ambassador as a gift to the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia
• meeting with representatives of Serbian associations and businesspeople in Geneva

The meetings were held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, focusing on strengthening cooperation, preserving the identity of our community, and further enhancing ties with the homeland.
