Ceremonial Presentation of the National Readers “Treasury” and “Roots and Wings” to Students Attending Supplementary Serbian Language Classes

On 20 September, following a meeting of the Teachers’ Council, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bern hosted a ceremonial event during which teachers presented the national readers Treasury to first- and second-grade students and Roots and Wings to third- and fourth-grade students attending supplementary Serbian language classes. The event was attended by a large number of students and their parents.
Ambassador Dr Ivan Trifunović welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of attending supplementary Serbian language classes. He emphasised that preserving the mother tongue, culture and traditions makes an important contribution to maintaining one’s identity and connection with the homeland.
The event took place in a warm and festive atmosphere, while the students further enhanced the occasion with their performances.
