18. Jun 2026.
Swiss media reported on a debate in the Swiss National Council in which the position of the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija was raised for the first time.

During the debate on the continuation of Switzerland’s participation in the KFOR mission, members of the Swiss People's Party (SVP), Christian Imark, Andreas Glarner and Roland Rino Büchel, addressed issues related to security, human rights and the position of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

The discussion referred to reports of arrests, pressure on the Serbian community, property seizures, the use of the Serbian language, access to justice and the situation of Serbian media. The parliamentarians questioned what concrete measures had been taken during nearly three decades of international presence to address these ongoing issues.
