Participation of Representatives of the Republic of Serbia at the OSCE Conference on Combating Antisemitism

10. Feb 2026.
The delegation of the Republic of Serbia took part in the OSCE Conference “Combating Anti-Semitism: Addressing Challenges of Intolerance and Discrimination”, held on 9–10 February 2026 in St. Gallen, within the framework of Switzerland’s OSCE Chairpersonship.

The Serbian delegation included the Deputy Assistant Minister for Multilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ksenija Milenković, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Ivan Trifunović.

During the plenary session, Ambassador Ivan Trifunović delivered an official statement in which he underlined that the fight against antisemitism represents for the Republic of Serbia not only a contemporary challenge, but also a matter of profound historical responsibility. On that occasion, he emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of the Holocaust and the shared suffering of Jews and Serbs under Nazi rule, including the crimes committed at the Jasenovac concentration camp, as a lasting moral foundation for confronting modern forms of hatred and discrimination.

The conference brought together high-level representatives of participating States, international organisations, experts and civil society representatives, with the aim of exchanging experiences and strengthening joint efforts in combating antisemitism, intolerance and discrimination, in light of the growing prevalence of these phenomena across Europe and beyond.

As part of their participation in the conference, Deputy Assistant Minister Ksenija Milenković and Ambassador Ivan Trifunović visited the Jewish Museum Hohenems, an institution dedicated to preserving the memory of the centuries-long presence of the Jewish community in this part of Europe and its destruction during the Holocaust, as well as to promoting dialogue, education and the fight against contemporary antisemitism.
