Representatives of the Embassy at the Commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day | Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Swiss Confederation

At the commemoration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, held on 27 January 2026 at the City Hall (Rathaus) in Bern, Serbia was represented by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Switzerland, Dr. Ivan Trifunović, as one of the event’s patrons, accompanied by his spouse and Counsellor Bojan Stojanović.

The ceremony was organized in partnership with the Еmbassies of the member countries of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), including the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, and in cooperation with the Gamaraal Foundation. This year’s program was dedicated to the theme “Crossroads of Generations,” chosen by the Israeli Presidency of the IHRA, highlighting the importance of passing on memory and historical responsibility to younger generations.

The event brought together numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps, Swiss institutions, the Jewish community, and civil society, who jointly paid tribute to the victims of the Holocaust and reaffirmed their commitment to combating antisemitism, hatred, and all forms of discrimination.
